The Nepali Embassy in Washington is seeking the public’s help locating Dhirendra Jung Shah, a Nepali citizen who has been out of contact with his family for six years, according to an embassy notice.

The notice identifies Shah as 30 years old and lists his permanent address as Bishal Nagar, Ward 9, Nepalgunj, in Banke district, Nepal. His family contacted the embassy after losing communication with him over an extended period.

According to the notice, Shah first arrived in the United States through the Diversity Visa program in 2071 on the Nepali calendar, corresponding to 2014-15. He visited Nepal in 2073 (2016-17) before returning to the United States.

The notice does not specify his last known address in the United States or the exact date his family last heard from him.

The embassy has urged members of the Nepali community and community organizations across the United States to help with the search and promptly share any information that could lead to his whereabouts.
